Course Platform Privacy Policy

E‑Learning Office, operating under EXPAND Global GmbH, provides digital learning technologies, services and training content for end users of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Windows. We take the protection of your personal data very seriously and process your information confidentially and in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national data‑protection laws.

This privacy notice describes the type, scope and purpose of the personal data we collect, store and process on our course platform, as well as your rights as a data subject.

Purpose of the Course Platform

Our course platform is used to deliver online training. Use of the platform requires the processing of personal data, as this is necessary to create user accounts, grant course access, track learning progress and generate training reports. Your data will be used exclusively for the provision and management of our online courses. It will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or necessary for operating the platform.

Depending on your usage of the course platform, we process the following types of data:

  • First and last name
  • Email address
  • Username
  • Password (you may change this at any time)
  • City and country
  • Course enrolments and activities
  • Learning progress (completed / in progress)
  • Scores and results
  • Technical log data such as IP address, date/time of access, pages viewed and actions performed

Usage Data and SCORM Data

Our course platform automatically logs usage information to provide course statistics, progress tracking and administrative reporting. Logged data may include user identity, accessed courses or pages, timestamps, duration of use and IP addresses.

For SCORM‑based training activities, additional course‑specific data is processed, such as course start date, most recent access, viewed modules or pages, total time spent, completion status and score. This information is required to deliver training properly and to document learning outcomes.

Please note that data transmission over the Internet may involve security risks. While we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, complete protection against unauthorised access cannot be guaranteed.

Contact and Voluntary Data

To request demo access, information or support, you may be asked to submit personal data such as your name and email address.   • Purpose: Required to maintain your login session. This cookie must be allowed for you to remain logged in while navigating the platform. It is deleted when you log out or close your browser.

  • Supplier: Moodle
  • Purpose: Stores your username so that it is automatically filled in when you return to the login page. This cookie enhances convenience and is optional.
